Fortnite is a free-to-play multiplayer shooter game that was developed by Epic Games and People Can Fly and was released on July 25, 2017. Fortnite is available on Android, iOS, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, macOS, and Windows. The game was first released as a paid early-access title for Windows, macOS, and Xbox One and released as a free-to-play title in July 2018.

Gameplay

In Fortnite, up to four players, either in local cooperative play or through online matchmaking, build fortifications around the map and defend themselves from oncoming waves of monsters. The game is set in a world where after a storm, 98% of the world's population disappears, and the player is one of the remaining survivors.

Graphics

In March 2018, Epic Games released a new graphics engine for Fortnite, called Unreal Engine 4.20, which features new advanced shaders, new features in the material editor, and a new GPU-based hair and fur system.
